Freudenthal Home-Based Healthcare is proud to recognize Craig Sumner as the February 2025 Aging Well Award recipient!
Craig has spent a lifetime giving back to the St. Joseph community, and even in retirement, his passion for service continues to shine. After owning and operating his own business for over 50 years, Craig could have easily taken a well-earned break—but instead, he remains deeply involved in multiple organizations that make our community a better place.
He currently serves as President of the Optimist Club, a group dedicated to uplifting and inspiring youth. His leadership extends beyond that role, as he also serves on the board for the Pony Express Museum and is an active member and board member at his church.
This past holiday season, Craig’s dedication was especially evident as he volunteered five nights at Holiday Park, ensuring families enjoyed a festive experience and even handing out Cherry Mashes to visitors. His warmth, generosity, and commitment to others exemplify what it means to age well—not just in years, but in purpose and community spirit.
