Freudenthal Home-Based Healthcare is proud to recognize Chris Burris as the January Aging Well Award winner! As the administrator of Corby Place Senior Living, Chris has dedicated over 42 years to serving and advocating for seniors.
Her passion for senior care runs deep—she comes from a nursing background, and her father was also involved in nursing home administration. For Chris, helping seniors isn’t just a job; it’s a calling.
“My passion is serving, advocating, and enriching the lives of our seniors. It’s been an honor to serve the senior generation for 42 years and a pleasure to serve our residents and families! We strive to have every resident have a purpose in life and a place to call home. Our motto is ‘Happy, Healthy and Safe!’”
Chris’s impact goes beyond just leadership—her kindness and dedication touch the lives of both residents and their families. Mary O’Loughlin, who nominated Chris, shared how her work has made a personal difference:
“She has been the director at Corby Place for many years and touched a lot of people. She took care of my brother for 17 years and made my life so much easier. I live here now, and she works above and beyond to make Corby run efficiently.”
Chris believes staying active is key to aging well, offering this simple but powerful advice:
“Keep moving. There is always somebody who needs help.”
Congratulations, Chris! Thank you for your unwavering dedication to the well-being of seniors in our community.
